Tonight after a long weekend of ropes training, Callery Station 19 and Adams Area Station 42 were dispatched at 21:19 for a reported single vehicle MVC on Mars-Evans City Road in the area of Hope Street. E-19 was on scene in about 5 minutes at 21:24 to find a single vehicle off the side of the road with one male unconscious, pinned inside with severe damage to the drivers side and front of the vehicle from a side collision into a large tree. E-19 went to work on removing the driver's door for patient access.

Chief 42-2 and Rescue Engine 42-2 arrived shortly after with Chief 42-2 assuming command. Crews went to work on extrication with roof removal, dash rolls, and seat removall to free the severely trapped occupant.

Air evac was requested due to the obvious extended extrication, with STAT Medevac 3 landing at the nearby Callery Ballfield and their crew being brought to the scene for patient care.

Extrication was extensive with the patient finally being freed from the wreckage in about 40 minutes at 21:58.

Crews operated on scene for about another 45 minutes for clean-up and traffic control and were in service at 22:45.
