Adams Area has been blessed to have a Junior Firefighter Program that has molded many good firefighters who have passed through our doors. Tonight, Junior FF Cody Safreed just happened to be practicing his basic rigging concepts his session is learning in Vo-Tech as I was coming in to start my shift.

Of course, we couldn’t let a training opportunity be passed up, so pictured you will see FF Safreed and FF Dylan Nickl (a recent graduate of Mars and our Junior Program) getting a feel for rope rescue and rigging.

For myself and the rest of the leadership cadre at AAFD, I can say we are proud of these young men. Keep up the good work guys. Being a firefighter, you will never stop learning...
