Please view the attachments for the incident, training and event statistics as performed by the members of the AAFD during the month of March, 2021.
It was a busy month of incident responses, trainings and other events for the members. At total of 55 calls for service occurred. Response times continued to be below the National average for volunteer fire departments, averaging 7 minutes and 9 seconds from the time of dispatch. The average turnout time - time from dispatch until a staffed fire truck is on the road responding - continued to be below 2 minutes - averaging 1 minute and 45 seconds!
The Line Officers hosted 2 nationally known instructors to practice skills and increase knowledge on Rapid Intervention and Thermal Imaging Cameras. Over the month, 44 different members compiled 491.5 hours of in-station training time.
The members continued their service to the community by participating in 4 socially distant, birthday parades, 1 fire truck youth group visit and 5 internal and external meetings.
