The Adams Area Fire District would like to recognize the Armco Credit Union for a generous donation. On Tuesday July 13, several members were present to accept the gift, given on behalf of Armco by Marketing Manager and Adams Township resident Michele Jurysta. In the photo, from left to right are: Junior Firefighter Austin Haniwalt, Ms. Jurysta, Fire Police Captain Meuser, Firefighter Andrew Blaney, Chief Llewellyn and Captain Cuadrado.
On Thursday, June 10, AAFD participated at an open house event at the new Armco Credit Union - Mars Branch building in the Whitetail Meadows development on Route 228. That day, 7 members displayed Engine 42, Tower 42 and Rescue 42 for several hours and gave fire extinguisher lessons to approximately 75 adults and children. Also present at Armco that day was the Graeter's Ice Cream food truck. Graeter's generously donated 10% of their sales proceeds from the event!
