A few years later, in 2022, Jimmy passed at a young age. During his 32 years as a volunteer FF, and 23 years as a career FF for the City of Pittsburgh, he was widely known for his penchant and passion for training. In more recent years, the AAFD coordinates an intensive training weekend, called the Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend, conducted at several venues in SW Butler County.
The 2026 Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend is coming up August 13-16. |
