| In that era, nearly all call response started from home, or some location about town. No live-in program existed. The pager would activate, or you’d hear the house siren, and off you’d go! Members who drove to the firehouse would activate a blue light, and these plates helped identify responding volunteers. Plus it was a small badge of honor to show you were a member & were doing something for your community. |
