| This is an overlay of the letterhead on stationary from the former Valencia VFC.
The top was the most recent, from the years leading up to the merger. The middle has a date from the late 1960s. The bottom version, the oldest, is undated. It appears to be a handwritten invoice from a Mr. Thomas Adams, who had added a locust post under the truck floor for additional support. Specifically where the 1950 Chevrolet was kept parked. $15.00 for the job!
Also note how the phone numbers seem to bounce around. For a time calls were handled through the Richland Twp. police desk, and later the firephone system was installed by the North Pittsburgh Telephone Company. Finally, in the 1980's, a shared seven digit line was answered at Butler County Communications (724 625-3123 for those with good memories), before 9-1-1 arrived. |
