A Pair of Vehicle Accidents to Start the Day

The volunteers of the Adams Area Fire District started of the day today with a pair of vehicle accidents in the District.
The first call for service came in this morning around 6:30 AM for a report of a vehicle accident with an injury on Mars-Evans City Road. The Adams Township Police Department were on the scene of a vehicle rollover off the road, over an embankment with one victim ejected and partially trapped underneath the vehicle. With the assistance of the Callery Fire Dept. and personnel from Classic Automotive, the victim was able to be freed quickly. Quality Ambulance then transported the victim to the Callery Ballfield where the members of Evans City Station 20 had set up a landing zone for medical evacuated helicopter.
A short time later after clearing the first call, second call was received for reported vehicle into a house on Brickyard Road in Adams Township. AAFD personnel arrived on the scene to find an SUV that had spun out of control on the roadway and crashed into the side porch of a residence. Quality Ambulance evaluated the driver while AAFD personnel checked the vehicle and the structure for hazards. Damage to the structure was contained to the side porch.
