While attending ropes class tonight the 90 Box was struck at approximately 2025 hours for a reported chimney fire in the township. Chief 42, D/C 42, Engine 42-2 with four, and Tower 42 with five were enroute within a minute.
All units began arriving on scene within 5 to 6 minutes of dispatch to find a fire contained within the chimney. Crews worked to clear the firebox and clear the chimney flue of creosote from the tower.
