Tonight’s training consisted of some confidence drills, with members putting together various sized bolts, nuts, and washers and tying various knots while wearing full PPE with SCBA and structural firefighting gloves. The concepts were to build comfort in overcoming the limited dexterity in the gloves and limited sight and movement of full PPE.
Members also practiced converting the SCBA of a downed FF for a rescue drag and FF down CPR.
